Get your high heels on. This place is it. Speak easy, dive bar, whatever. Go here. Karaoke, cigars, cocktails. 4.7/5

I really like this bar and that they are open on Christmas for LGBTQ people who don't have friends and family during holidays. One critique I will say is the DJ Jason always makes fun of white girls saying they mess up songs but let's be honest everyone messes up sometimes. I would just say stop being so political and let people enjoy themselves. You don't need to push anti-white or political BS. It makes it awkward.

Lipstick is my favorite gay bar! The only better for me was Backstreet in the gay 90's when I lived in ATL and possible Blakes. Backstreet may be unbeatable; totally different type of gay bar. More similar to Nashvilles PLAY, THE dance place. Lipstick is much more than a bar. It's a community where gay people feel safe and loved unconditionally. It's as much a neighborhood bar than gay/ Lesbian bar. All ages from all walks of people that love people without prejudice of any kind come there. I've taken straight friends as there as first experience of a gay bar. They always want to come back because they love it. Always voted best karaoke in "the scene". Super frlendly owners, and staff! Great bar food, smoking room, patio to get away from the noise. Truth: Some may see their drink prices as high which they're not in comparison to other bars. It never bothers me cause I know the people they get their liquor from charge them more because its owned by women who are lesbians which is BS. We have a lot of work to do folks! After 30 years of being there were not going back to closet. Together we rise in love and love always wins! Parking can be an issue but always worth the walk. The neighborhood has fantastic architecture. The houses close by were built from the late 1800's to 1920. Have dinner at one of the great local restaurants at 5 points and end your evening with a short walk to the must see bar in Nashville! Canvas is a close 2nd but not as much a neighborhood bar. You'll be glad you went to the The Lipsick Lounge! Promise! A big fan! Love and light all! Bruce

An amazing time on a Tuesday Karaoke night. The crowd and the drinks really make this place special. I had a better time here than any place on Broadway in my trip to Nashville. My coworkers of all walks of life were treated with kindness and respect!

Service was great, place was packed. Was working in Nashville for a client during the CMAs, the locals were nice enough for definitely being frustrated with all of us out of towners flooding their neighborhood. The place isn't really meant to have that many people inside.

Lipstick consistently remains as one of the best places to begin or close out a great night on the town. Highlights: -affordable drinks -good cheap bar food -karaoke -inclusive atmosphere -excellent staff Having finally logged a good amount of hours at Lipstick over the past two years I just want to let everybody who doesn't already know how great a vibe it is & how thankful we should be to have a welcoming & inclusive venue that is still thriving here in Nashville. I've had nights here during the week that were tame & quiet enough to have intimate conversations with friends in between karaoke superstars taking the stage & nights that were absolute ragers with a fully packed house. There are few things as fun as a night spent bouncing back & forth from the bar at Lipstick & listening to karaoke. Special shoutout to Leah who is an excellent bartender/human & always takes great care of everybody!

While visiting Nashville, my fiancé and I had to stop by since It is one of fewer than twenty remaining lesbian bars in the United States. It was a blast; however, we didn't stay for long because we had our team dogs with us. Everyone was very nice and they love petting the dogs. I know on the weekends they do serve brunch but this means that next time we need to stop by on the weekend. Can't wait to come again to Nashville.
